Hamburg moves up
February 14, 2011
Hamburg Airport has moved up to become accredited at the ‘Reduction’ level of the programme.
Commenting on the achievement, ACI EUROPE Director General Olivier Jankovec said “ Hamburg’s achievement offers ample proof that, despite an extremely challenging past year for European airports, our industry remains strongly committed to reaching our ultimate goal of carbon neutrality. With airports operating in a transformed business market, professional environmental management is no longer a luxury but rather an essential part of efforts to provide efficient and sustainable airport services. Hamburg Airport has embraced this challenge, and it’s achievements to date show that real progress is being made”
