Sundsvall-Timrå Airport enters Airport Carbon Accreditation at Level 2

We are pleased to announce that Sundsvall-Timrå Airport in Sweden, has successfully met all the necessary requirements to join the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme at Level 2 Reduction.

This achievement highlights the airport’s commitment to effective carbon management, carried out through clear target setting and significant reductions in Scope 1 and 2 emissions.

Operated by Midlanda Flygplats AB, Sundsvall-Timrå Airport actively works to minimise its environmental impact. Efforts include reducing emissions to land, water, and air, decreasing the use of chemicals, and reducing waste. Additionally, the airport collaborates with the “Fly Green Fund,” a non-profit organisation dedicated to mitigating the climate impact of aviation and promoting the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF).

This entry into Airport Carbon Accreditation marks an important step in Sundsvall-Timrå Airport’s journey towards comprehensive carbon management and decarbonisation.
