Scandanavia airports making progress
June 29, 2012
Never a dull moment in May/June time around here. As ever, the programme is very visible in Scandanavia and these past days, we have seen a lot of activity relating to airports there. Finavia’s Helsinki-Vantaa has succeeded in upgrading its certification to ‘Reduction’, while in Norway Avinor’s Kristansand Airport is has renewed at the ‘Mapping’ level, while its two of its biggest airports Oslo and Trondheim have successfully renewed as Airport Carbon Accredited at full carbon ‘Neutrality’ level. And the programme administrator, WSP Environment & Energy has told us that the wave of accreditations in Sweden is due to continue, with Swedavia clearly on a crusade to get its full group of airports accredited by the programme.
