Santiago Arturo Merino Benitez Airport joins at Level 1 Mapping
October 2, 2017
We are proud to introduce the 199th airport to join Airport Carbon Accreditation: Santiago Arturo Merino Benitez Airport in Chile!
Nicolas Claude, CEO of Nuevo Pudahuel, commented:
“Arturo Merino Benítez airport is much more than a space of aeronautical processes. The development of traffic that we have experienced thanks to our air traffic development department and APPIA (Public Private Alliance of the Air Industry), has a number of benefits such as the decrease in the value of air tickets by more than 33% in the last 12 months. We have also created 4,500 jobs per 1 million new passengers, and this year we will probably reach 21 million, surpassing 19.2 million by 2016. But we also have to be careful about the environment and grow responsibly. Hence, our entry in the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme.”
