Lanseria International Airport joins Airport Carbon Accreditation at Level 1 Mapping

We are pleased to welcome Lanseria International Airport in South Africa to the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme as it achieves Level 1 Mapping.

By entering at Level 1, Lanseria International Airport has committed to conducting a comprehensive assessment of its carbon footprint and developing well-defined strategies for emissions reduction.

As part of its broader sustainability efforts, Lanseria International Airport has already taken steps to lower its carbon impact, including energy-efficient retrofitting projects and the exploration of renewable energy sources. In addition, the airport is making strategic investments in infrastructure development, such as the creation of a state-of-the-art Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility and a world-class cargo precinct.

With this first step in Airport Carbon Accreditation, Lanseria International Airport is demonstrating its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and aligning with international climate goals.
