These are the first airports in the country to participate in the programme.<\/p>\n<p>Hosea Kutako International Airport serves as Namibia\u2019s main international gateway, while Walvis Bay International Airport plays a key role in supporting regional connectivity and economic activity.<\/p>\n<p>At Level 1, airports are required to measure and inventory their carbon footprint, marking the first step in a structured approach to carbon management.<\/p>\n<p>With these new additions, the number of accredited airports in Africa rises to 49 across 19 countries.<\/p>\n<p>We warmly welcome the Namibian Airports Company to the programme and look forward to supporting their continued progress in carbon management.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Walvis Bay International Airport and Hosea Kutako International Airport, the two busiest airports in Namibia operated by the Namibian Airports Company, have joined Airport Carbon Accreditation at Level 1.
