XCR Airport begins its carbon management journey at Level 1

mars 12, 2026
XCR Airport in France has joined Airport Carbon Accreditation at Level 1, making its initial step in the structured approach to carbon management.
At this level, airports are required to measure and map their carbon footprint. XCR Airport has completed its first carbon footprint assessment, covering Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, providing a clear baseline for future action.
The airport has also established a structured framework to monitor emissions and energy consumption across its operations. This includes close coordination between departments to ensure the consistent collection and consolidation of environmental data.
Alongside these efforts, awareness and training sessions have been organised for airport teams to strengthen understanding of climate change and carbon management. The airport has also initiated internal discussions to identify future carbon reduction opportunities as part of its broader environmental strategy.
