Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport joins Airport Carbon Accreditation at Level 1 Mapping

We are delighted to confirm that Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport has successfully entered Level 1 Mapping of the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme, becoming the first Polish regional airport to achieve this certification.

By reaching this level, the airport has committed to conducting a comprehensive analysis of its CO₂ emissions and establishing structured plans to reduce its carbon footprint. This achievement marks a significant step in its long-term goal of achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

Tomasz Kloskowski, President of the Board of Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, expressed his pride in the airport’s progress, stating: “I am delighted that we can showcase our first certificate of the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme. This is yet another step we are taking towards the sustainability of our airport.”
