octobre 1, 2025

Over 30 airport environmental and sustainability professionals gathered on 2-3 September in Aruba International Airport for the annual meeting of the ACI Latin America & the Caribbean Environment & Sustainability Committee, where Environmental Minds delivered a workshop focused on Airport Carbon Accreditation.

Led by Panagiotis Karamanos, Managing Director of Environmental Minds, the session provided participants with an in-depth understanding of the programme and its practical application across the Latin America & Caribbean region. The workshop covered the global context of the Airport Carbon Accreditation, programme requirements, and the full decarbonisation pathway from Level 1 to Level 5. Participants also engaged in discussions on net zero roadmaps, technical queries, and recent developments, alongside examples of successful airport initiatives.

The interactive format encouraged participants to share regional insights, fostering a collaborative approach to reducing airport carbon emissions and advancing sustainable aviation in the region.
