Annecy Mont-Blanc Airport achieves Level 3

Annecy Mont-Blanc Airport in France has taken another step in its carbon management journey by upgrading to Level 3 of Airport Carbon Accreditation.

Reaching Level 3 reflects the airport’s growing focus on working with partners across the airport site to better understand and address emissions linked to airport activities. As part of this effort, the airport has expanded its carbon footprint to include emissions related to aircraft operations and passenger activity, helping build a clearer picture of emissions across the airport ecosystem.

Operated by VINCI Airports, Annecy Mont-Blanc Airport has implemented several concrete measures to support this progress. It has switched to a renewable electricity contract, enabling a significant reduction in Scope 2 emissions. Energy efficiency has also improved through the installation of LED lighting across airport facilities, reducing electricity consumption. Annecy Mont-Blanc Airport has also started electrifying its ground vehicle fleet, further supporting efforts to reduce emissions linked to airport operations.
