El Tajin National Airport is the latest entry in the Latin America & the Caribbean region

April 9, 2024

We are pleased to announce that El Tajín National Airport in Mexico has officially joined the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme at Level 1 Mapping.

At this initial level, the airport has identified the sources of emissions within its operational boundaries, calculated its annual carbon emissions, and compiled a comprehensive carbon footprint report, which has been verified by an independent third party.

Managed by Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares, El Tajín National Airport marks the 37th airport in Mexico and the 78th to join the programme in Latin America and the Caribbean, strengthening the decarbonisation efforts of the region.

We are looking forward to working closely with El Tajín National Airport as they progress through the programme.
