Dallas Fort Worth achieves a 3-yearly renewal at Level 3+
November 15, 2018
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport remains the only North American airport to achieve carbon neutral certification, and is the first to achieve a three-year certification at the highest level of Airport Carbon Accreditation.
By switching to renewable energy and implementing programs to use less of it, the DFW team has dramatically reduced the carbon footprint of the airport. One new initiative to note is DFW’s transition to renewable natural gas (RNG) in their transportation fleet. This initiative is lowering carbon emissions from their fleet by approximately 80%.
A big thumbs up to everyone involved!
