Airport Carbon Accreditation pioneer in Asia-Pacific reaches new level of CO2 management
July 31, 2019
Back in 2011, when ACI Asia-Pacific signed the Launch Declaration allowing airports in their region to participate in the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme, it was Abu Dhabi International Airport who stood ready to become the first carbon accredited airport in the region. Eight years and a great deal of work to manage and reduce their carbon footprint later, the airport has now been recognised with the second to highest level of accreditation – Level 3 ‘Optimisation’. This upgrade was earned through the airport’s work to engage the entire flock of companies active on their premises in the collective effort to bring the CO2 emissions down! Keep up the great work!
