ACI welcomes Environmental Minds as the new programme administrator for its flagship carbon standard for airports, Airport Carbon Accreditation

Airports Council International is proud to announce that Environmental Minds has been appointed as the new Programme Administrator of Airport Carbon Accreditation, the only institutionally-endorsed global carbon management certification programme for airports.

Environmental Minds specialises in sustainability within the aviation sector, with a strong focus on greenhouse gas management. Founded in 2021, it is dedicated to helping the aviation industry mitigate its environmental impact and contribute to its increased sustainable development. Their expertise spans customised initiatives and solutions, conducting environmental assessments to identify areas of improvement, designing environmental training programmes including for carbon management, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and managing environmental and urban projects to achieve meaningful sustainability outcomes.

The expertise and innovative approach of Environmental Minds align seamlessly with the ambitions of Airport Carbon Accreditation, ensuring the programme continues to lead the way in empowering airports to manage and reduce their carbon emissions, advancing the industry’s journey towards decarbonisation.

Environmental Minds will take over from WSP, who have served as the Programme Administrator of Airport Carbon Accreditation since its inception in 2009.
