Spain’s Aena is making great strides in climate action within its airport network! Its Lanzarote Airport has just achieved a successful upgrade to Level 2 Reduction of Airport Carbon Accreditation. Israel’s busiest airport, Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport is actively reducing its carbon footprint within Airport Carbon Accreditation. The airport just renewed its Level 2 Reduction certificate for another year. Congratulations!  

Norway’s Kristiansand Airport owned by Avinor has just renewed its Airport Carbon Accreditation certificate for another year. The airport is busy reducing the CO2 emissions under its direct control at Level 2 Reduction of the programme. 

Denmark’s busiest airport – Copenhagen Airport – just renewed its Airport Carbon Accreditation certificate for another year. CPH airport is only one step away from carbon neutrality. At Level 3 Optimisation, it actively reduces its carbon footprint and works with their business partners to forge further cuts in overall emissions as well. 

Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is the 1st airport in India to enter the 3-yearly renewal track on the highest level of Airport Carbon Accreditation. Read more about the carbon neutral airport’s achievement here.

London Gatwick Airport has just achieved a big feat in terms of CO2 management! The first carbon neutral airport in London has now secured a 3-yearly renewal at the highest level of Airport Carbon Accreditation.
